Waters, ranked 19 places below the second seed from Edinburgh, won 10-8 9-6 3-9 9-5 to earn a place in the quarter-finals, where she will face compatriot Jenny Duncalf. Sixth-seeded Duncalf dropped just six points in her 9-3 9-0 9-3 dismissal of Egypt's Salma Shabana. |
