Jackman Soars To Salt Lake Success
England's Cassie Jackman cruised to victory in the final of the Women's
Squashworks Open in Salt Lake City, USA - beating compatriot Vicky Botwright
9-2 9-2 9-5 in the climax of the $11,500 WISPA World Tour event.
The 30-year-old former world No1 and world champion from Norfolk is enjoying
a magnificent run since returning to top flight squash at the beginning of
this year after undergoing career-threatening back surgery for the second
time last September.
Jackman, who won a record-equalling fifth British National title in February,
swept through the Squashworks event without dropping a game to claim the 23rd
WISPA title of her career in her 45th final.
It was the world number nine's third WISPA title of the year, and came just a
week after Jackman led England to their 27th successive title in the European
Team Championships.
