The top-seeded 26-year-old from Odense was taken the full distance in the final by his opponent Alex Stait, the fourth seed from England who upset Pakistan's No2 seed Ajaz Azmat in the semi-finals. Korsbjerg twice came from behind before finally beating the 23-year-old from Gloucestershire 10-15 15-12 12-15 15-5 15-13 in 70 minutes. Mikkel, ranked 58 in the world, was also fully extended in a 70-minute first round match - against his twin brother Mads Korsbjerg, a qualifier! Favourite Mikkel slipped two games down, then fought back to secure his quarter-final place with an 11-15 8-15 15-9 15-12 15-7 victory.
