Selby Is Norwegian Open Champion
Men's final:
[1] Daryl Selby (ENG) bt [2] Dylan Bennett (NED) 11-4, 11-7, 6-11, 11-9 (52m)
England's Daryl Selby proved the worth of his top billing in the inaugural Grays Norwegian Open Squash Championships when he beat second seed Dylan Bennett in the final of the PSA Tour event in Oslo.
After comfortably winning the first two games, Selby looked on track to finish off the match in three straight games. But Dutchman Bennett fought back to take the third game in just 11 minutes.
After a tentative start to the fourth game by both players, the 24-year-old Englishman moved 5-0 ahead. Bennett, however, came back fighting - and the 22-year-old from Eindhoven took the next six points to reclaim the lead.
But Essex man Selby kept his head and ultimately secured his 11-4, 11-7, 6-11, 11-9 victory in 52 minutes.
The triumph marks the third PSA Tour title of Selby's career - but his second of the year after capturing the Talisman Energy Bankers Hall Club Open trophy in Canada in January.
