Top Seeds Reach European Junior Finals
The top two seeds will contest both finals in the European Junior Squash
Championships after straightforward semi-final battles in Parsdorf, Germany.
Dylan Bennett, winner of seven European Junior Circuit titles already this
season, is on course to become the first Dutchman to win the top European
title since 1998. The No1 seed ended local hopes with a 9-3 9-4 9-4 win over
Germany's 3/4 seed Patrick Gassler.
The 18-year-old from Eindhoven meets England's No2 seed Laurence Delasaux in
the final. Delasaux, from Hull, defeated the other 3/4 seed, Frenchman Yann
Perrin, 9-3 9-3 9-4.
The women's final will feature England's top seed Suzie Pierrepont and
Spain's No2 seed Margaux Moros. Whilst Pierrepont, 18, from Brighton, needed
four games to overcome England team-mate Lauren Siddall 9-4 9-1 6-9 9-4,
17-year-old Valencia-based Moros claimed her place in the final after being
handed a walkover by England's Emma Beddoes, the only player to reach the
last four against the seedings.
