Andrew Wagih Shoukry and Amr Khaled Khalifa set up an all-Egyptian final of the Egyptian Circuit No2 after straight games semi-final successes in the PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash event at the Sporting Club in Alexandria.
Shoukry, the only seed left in the last four, ended the giant-killing run of compatriot Mazen Gamal, the unseeded 24-year-old from Cairo who removed top seed Karim Abdel Gawad in the previous round.
But 20-year-old Shoukry, also from Cairo and ranked 71 in the world, was too strong for Gamal, winning 11-7, 12-10, 11-5 in 46 minutes to make his first PSA Tour final of the year, but the ninth of his career.
Khalifa stormed to an 11-3, 11-6, 11-7 victory in 44 minutes over English outsider Olivier Pett.
The 18-year-old from Cairo is enjoying a fine run on the senior professional circuit after becoming the world junior champion in Ecuador almost a year ago. Ranked 71 in the world, Khalifa already boasts four PSA Tour final appearances this year, with title successes in three.
It was only three weeks ago that the teenager clinched the Egyptian Circuit No1 crown in Cairo - beating Shoukry in the quarter-finals.
