The tenth edition of the Women's Texas Open will climax in its first all-Australian final after top seed Rachael Grinham and second seed Kasey Brown survived dramatic five-game semis in the WISPA World Tour Silver 30 squash event at Downtown YMCA in Dallas.
Grinham, the former world number one and world champion from Queensland, had to fight back from two games down - and survive a tie-break in the third game - to overcome Sarah Kippax, the No7 seed from England who reached the last four after upsetting third seed Low Wee Wern.
The 34-year-old world No4 regained the upper hand to close out the match to win 9-11, 9-11, 13-11, 11-5, 11-7 - and reach the 59th Tour final of her career.
Remarkably, Brown's match followed a similar pattern: the world No6 from New South Wales recovered from the loss of the first two games to fourth seed Joelle King to beat the defending champion from New Zealand 5-11, 6-11, 11-7, 11-4, 12-10.
Brown's victory takes the 25-year-old into her 21st WISPA final.
The final will mark the pair's sixth Tour meeting since April 2007 - with underdog Brown seeking her first win.
