Mak & Teran In Maiden WISPA Title Bid
Hong Kong's Christina Mak and Mexico's Samantha Teran will contest the final
of the Women's Pittsburgh Squash Invitational in Pittsburgh, USA, with both
players bidding to claim a WISPA World Tour title for the first time.
Top-seeded Mak, who has never before proceeded beyond the quarter-finals of a
WISPA event, fought back from a game behind to defeat Denmark's fourth seed
Line Hansen 8-10 9-2 9-3 9-4.
In the other semi-final, second-seeded Pan American champion Teran celebrated
her second WISPA final appearance in two months after beating Scotland's
third seed Frania Gillen-Buchert 9-3 9-0 9-2.
