Top-ranked German Simon Rosner claimed his second PSA World Tour success in the Spanish city of Palma de Mallorca when he won the $10,000 Memorial Fernando Vidal Salvá Spanish Open.
The No1 seed from Paderborn, ranked 33 in the world, raced through to the final at the Elite Club without dropping a game.
His opponent was the Italian number one Davide Bianchetti, the second seed who was taken the full distance by third seed Borja Golan before beating the top-ranked Spaniard 11-8, 1-11, 11-3, 3-11, 12-10.
The final was Rosner and Bianchetti's sixth Tour meeting in five years - but the 23-year-old German has had the edge on his 33-year-old European rival since 2008, and pulled off his fourth win in a row by despatching Bianchetti 11-6, 11-4, 12-10.
The win marks Rosner's fourth PSA Tour title. The German number one will be hoping that this latest triumph will lead to his long-awaited breakthrough into the world's top 30.
