Ball Bounces To Successful Belgian Defence
Top-seeded Englishman Bradley Ball beat Finland's Mika Monto, the second
seed, in the final of the Liberty's Belgian Open Squash Championship to
successfully defend the title he first won in Brussels a year ago.
The 26-year-old from Ipswich in Suffolk cruised through to the final without
dropping a game, then defeated Monto 15-11 15-9 8-15 15-7 to claim his first
PSA Tour title of the year and the 7th of his career - four of which he
gained in 2002!
It was a disappointing conclusion for Monto, the 26-year-old world No67 from
Hyvinkaa, who has now reached six PSA Tour finals since becoming a member of
the international players' organisation in 1994 - but has yet to claim a
title.
