England's Fiona Moverley and local hero Harinder Pal Sandhu came away with the spoils in the latest Indian Squash Challengers at the Indian Squash Academy in Chennai.

Moverley was the second seed in the Women's WISPA Indian Challenger No3.  The 22-year-old from Hull reached the final of the $4,000 WISPA World Tour event without dropping a game.

Ranked 51 in the world, Moverley faced top seed Siti Munirah Jusoh, a 22-year-old from Kuala Terengganu who is ranked four places higher.

Moverley dropped the first game, but bounced back to win 10-12, 12-10, 11-4, 14-12 in 45 minutes to claim her second Tour title of the month, after winning her maiden WISPA trophy at the Santiago Open in Spain.

The men's PSA Indian Challenger No5, a $6,000 PSA World Tour championship, saw 20-year-old Sandhu, from Chennai, return home to a hero's welcome.

Third seed Sandhu, now honing his skills at Pontefract Squash Club in the UK, made his breakthrough in the semi-finals where he defeated Egypt's top seed Andrew Wagih Shoukry.

And in the final, the world No102 faced Englishman James Snell, the second seed.  Spurred on by local fans, Sandhu despatched Snell 11-6, 13-11, 11-7 in 38 minutes.

The triumph marks the second Tour title of Sandhu's career - and his second on his former home courts in Chennai.
