Max Lee outlasted fellow countryman Leo Au in today's (Saturday) final of the Chairman's Cup to win the $6,000 PSA World Tour squash title at Cornwall Street Park Squash Centre in Kowloon on home soil in Hong Kong.
Indeed, seventh seed Leo Au's upset over top-seeded Australian Matthew Karwalski in the quarter-finals led to an all-Hong Kong semi-final line-up in the inaugural Tour event.
Au took out fourth seed Anson Kwong in one semi, while third seed Lee upset Dick Lau, the second seed, in the other to earn a surprise appearance in the climax.
But 21-year-old Lee was ultimately too strong for Au in the final, winning 11-5, 6-11, 11-5, 6-11, 11-8 to claim the third PSA Tour title of his career.
