Canada's fifth seed Alana Miller ended Derbyshire Laura Hill's run in the women's semi-finals of the Coronation London Open to deny the organisers of the Tour event at Cumberland LT&SC in London the first all-English finals in both the men's and women's events.
Miller battled for 51 minutes to stop unseeded Hill 17-15, 11-13, 11-7, 11-8.
The 29-year-old from Winnipeg, a three-time Canadian national champion in her second Tour final this month, will now face England's Dominique Lloyd-Walter.
The event favourite from Guildford despatched fourth-seeded Italian Manuela Manetta 11-7, 11-6, 11-8 in the other semi-final to earn her sixth WISPA final appearance.
The final of the men's $20,000 PSA World Tour event will be a domestic affair.
But Joey Barrington, the No3 seed from Glastonbury in Somerset, had to battle for 113 minutes and twice come from behind before beating seventh-seeded Frenchman Mathieu Castagnet 3-11, 11-6, 11-13, 11-8, 11-7 to claim his 16th Tour final appearance.
The 29-year-old son of Jonah Barrington, the legendary Briton who won two of his six British Open titles in the England capital, will now face top seed Jonathan Kemp.
The 28-year-old left-hander from Shropshire also survived a five-game encounter, coming through 8-11, 11-3, 8-11, 11-1, 11-4 against fourth-seeded Canadian Shahier Razik.
Kemp is celebrating his sixth Tour final of the year - and looking for his fifth title success.
