England's Jenny Duncalf celebrated the biggest WISPA World Tour title success of her life when she beat long-time rival Omneya Abdel Kawy in the final of the inaugural Women's Soho Square Championship, a $41,600 WISPA World Tour Silver squash event at Soho Square Savoy Hotel in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
Abdel Kawy, the third seed from Egypt, boasted a 10/1 career head-to-head record over the 26-year-old from Harrogate on the eve of the match - and Duncalf last beat the former world junior champion more than four years ago.
A further victory looked in Abdel Kawy's reach as the Egyptian played some of the best squash of her life to take the first two games for just nine points.
But Duncalf battled back to take the next two games and leap to a 6-1 lead in the decider.
Abdel Kawy forced the game into a tie-break, but Duncalf held her nerve to win 2-11, 7-11, 11-8, 12-10, 12-10 after 58 minutes.
The success marks the fifth Tour title success of Duncalf's career.
