The recently-crowned national champion made his breakthrough in the quarters with a straight games dismissal of Pakistan's top seed Khalid Atlas Khan. In the next round, Wong brushed aside South Africa's 7th seed John Abrahamse 15-10 15-14 15-11 in 40 minutes. Scotland's Pamela Nimmo produced a confidence-boosting victory to reach her first WISPA World Tour final for almost a year. Seeded three, the world No19 from Edinburgh upset England's No2 seed Jenny Tranfield 2-9 9-4 9-7 9-6 in 48 minutes.
