English qualifier Ben Ford maintained his impressive run in the Bymac Leinster Open as he despatched fifth seed Tom Hoevenaars in the quarter-finals of the PSA Tour squash event at the Fitzwilliam Club in Dublin, Ireland.

The 32-year-old from Kent, who reached a career-high ranking of 130 this month, was made to work hard for his place in the semi-finals as he dropped the first game to his Dutch opponent.  Ford, however, quickly took control in the second and went on to record his 7-11, 11-6, 11-6, 11-3 win to book his place in the last four against the Egyptian second seed Omar Abdel Aziz.

Aziz took on Malaysia's Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan and progressed to an 11-8, 11-7, 8-11, 11-8 victory in 66 minutes.  The Egyptian led 5-0 and 7-2 in the third game, but Adnan came roaring back to take the game - to the delight of the crowd in Fitzwilliam.  The sixth seed started the fourth well and seemed to have his opponent rattled, but Aziz managed to weather the storm and closed out the match to book his place in the semi-finals.

Top seed Bradley Ball, the world number 33, kept up his impressive form this week as he beat fellow Englishman Alex Stait 11-5, 11-5, 11-7.  The 31-year-old from Ipswich has yet to drop a game in the event, and will look to continue this rich vein of form in the semi-finals against Hungarian Mark Krajcsak.

The third seed from Budapest also came through in straight games, seeing off New Zealand's Martin Knight 11-4, 11-8, 11-6.

The top two seeds will contest the final of the WISPA World Tour event after Dutch favourite Orla Noom and local star Laura Mylotte, the second seed from Ireland, survived their women's semi-finals in straight games.

Noom ended the giant-killing run of English qualifier Sarah-Jane Perry, beating the 17-year-old from Kenilworth 9-0, 9-6, 9-5 to reach her fifth Tour final.

Marking only her second appearance in a WISPA final is Laura Mylotte, the 32-year-old from Galway who despatched England's unseeded Vicky Hynes 9-4, 9-0, 9-6.

Men's semi-final line-up:
