English qualifier Ben Ford continued his good run in the Bymac Leinster Open by reaching the quarter-finals of the PSA Tour squash event at the Fitzwilliam Club in Dublin, Ireland.

The 32-year-old from Kent upset Australia's No4 seed Scott Arnold 11-10 (2-0), 4-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-8 in the first round and will now go on to face Tom Hoevenaars - the fifth seed from the Netherlands who was also taken to five games before overcoming Englishman Darren Lewis 11-9, 2-11, 6-11, 11-6, 11-7.

There was also English qualifying success in the WISPA World Tour event when Sarah-Jane Perry recovered from a game down to upset Germany's No7 seed Daniela Schumann 9-10, 9-3, 9-1, 9-4 in the women's quarter-finals.
 
The 17-year-old qualifier from Kenilworth - who despatched third seed Dagmar Vermeulen in straight games in the first round - now takes on top seed Orla Noom, also from the Netherlands, for a place in the final.
