The Women's International Squash Players' Association is undertaking the first ever worldwide survey of the sport of squash.

"It will probably become the widest and most detailed ever survey of squash enthusiasts," said WISPA Chief Executive Andrew Shelley.

"We regard it as important to have fuller data for the sport as a whole.  We suffer from having fragmented information and WISPA hopes to address this in support of general WSF collation.  When we talk to prospective sponsors and the media, we want to have the best possible marketing and general information to present to them."

A large number of squash fans from all corners of the globe have already submitted entries on the online survey which is accessible via the homepage of the WISPA website at www.wispa.net

WISPA is also particularly urging all squash websites, especially those hosted by national federations, to include a link to the survey from their sites.

"We hope all sites will encourage their visitors to take part in this important initiative so that we will attract the maximum number of participators.

"Their support in encouraging people to take part in the survey would be greatly appreciated," added Shelley.

The general results will be made available to all national federations for their use.
