France's Joan Lezaud earned himself a place in a PSA Tour final for the first time in his career after upsetting top-seeded compatriot Yann Perrin in the semi-finals of the Malmo Squash Open at Bellevuestadion in Malmo, Sweden.
The 21-year-old fourth seed from Aix-en-Provence resisted a fight back by his fellow countryman to win 11-8, 11-3, 8-11, 8-11, 11-6 in 83 minutes.
In an all-French final, Lezaud now meets good friend Romain Tenant, the Swedish-based 26-year-old No2 seed who beat Welshman Jethro Binns 11-5, 11-7, 11-8 in the other men's semi-final.
The women's WISPA World Tour event will showcase two players making their maiden appearances in a Tour final. Ireland's top seed Laura Mylotte came through a tough four-game match against England's No3 seed Deon Saffery, winning 10-8, 8-10, 9-6, 9-4.
The 31-year-old from Galway will take on another English opponent Kirsty McPhee, the second seed from Yorkshire who ended Scandinavian hopes in Malmo when she beat Norway's fourth seed Lotte Eriksen 9-1, 9-7, 9-5.
