Two Malaysian brothers are on course to meet in the final of the NSC Satellite No1 squash event after Nafzahizam Adnan scored a notable upset over Hong Kong's top seed Wai Hang Wong in the quarter-finals of the PSA Tour event at the NSC Squash Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Fifth seed Adnan, 22, took 53 minutes to record his shock 11-8, 11-0, 11-10 (7-5) victory to earn a place in the semi-finals.
In the other half of the draw, younger brother Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan defeated fellow countryman Elvinn Keo 10-11 (0-2), 11-9, 7-11, 11-6, 11-8. Seeded two, 20-year-old Nafiizwan will now meet Hong Kong's 3rd seed Dick Lau for a place in the final.
In the women's WISPA World Tour event, Malaysia's Wee Wern Low also recorded a significant upset over a Hong Kong opponent when she beat fourth seed Joey Chan 10-8, 10-8, 7-9, 9-7 - avenging her defeats by the higher-ranked player in both the individual and team events in the Asian Junior Championships in February.
