South African qualifier Clinton Leeuw claimed the only upset on the opening day's play in the inaugural Grays Norwegian Open Squash Championships when he beat seventh seed Andras Torok in the first round of the men's event at the new Myrens Sportssenter in Oslo, Norway.

The 24-year-old from Cape Town won 8-11, 11-4, 11-4, 11-7 in 35 minutes - and will now face Englishman Jonathan Harford for a place in the semi-finals.  Harford, the No4 seed, beat Kiwi qualifier Campbell Grayson 11-9, 11-5, 11-7.

Two English players caused upsets in the quarter-finals of the women's event - and will now meet each other for a place in the final.  Fifth seed Lauren Siddall recovered from two games down to beat second-seeded Dane Line Hansen 8-10, 4-9, 9-4, 9-6, 9-1, while Emma Beddoes, the seventh seed, defeated fourth seed Georgina Stoker, also from England, 3-9, 4-9, 9-2, 9-4, 9-2.
