Australia's Aaron Frankcomb celebrated his maiden PSA Tour title in style when he beat local hero Ronivaldo Santos in the final of the Patio Savissi Fashion Tour Squash Open at Patio Savissi in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

The 21-year-old No2 seed from Queensland faced his first non-Brazilian in the event when he reached the semi-finals, where he dismissed Canada's Robin Clarke 11-8, 11-6, 11-7.

Santos, the 34-year-old fourth seed from Sao Paulo, made his breakthrough in the semi-finals when he beat Australia's top seed Raj Nanda.

The two-times Brazilian national champion, who rejoined the PSA this month after a four-year gap, fully extended his higher-ranked opponent in the final, but Frankcomb ultimately prevailed 11-3, 9-11, 11-5, 11-6 to make his historic Tour breakthrough.
