Frost Olesen & Serme Win German Junior Titles

Denmark's Kristian Frost Olesen and France's Camille Serme claimed their first German Junior Open Squash Championships titles after both achieved four-game victories in the U19 finals in Gerlingen.

Olesen, the 17-year-old No2 seed, achieved his win over surprise opponent Mohd Asyraf Azan.  The unseeded Malaysian made his breakthrough after upsetting top seed Tom Hoevenaars, from the Netherlands, in the semi-finals.

In the final, Olesen beat Azan 9-4, 9-4, 7-9, 9-3 to net his first European Squash Federation Junior Circuit title.

As the reigning European Junior champion, Camille Serme was favourite to win the Gerlingen title.  The 17-year-old from Creteil dropped the first game in the final against third seed Lucie Fialova, but quickly recovered to beat her Czech opponent 4-9, 9-2, 9-2, 9-0.
