Feather Sports Sign Exclusive Agreement With PSA

A new commercial agreement has been reached between Feather Sports of Beverly Hills, California, and the Professional Squash Association (PSA) whereby the Association will exclusively endorse the internationally-renowned squash racket grips produced and distributed by Feather Sports.

The new partnership commences 1st May 2006 and will extend for an initial three-year term.

PSA Chief Executive Gawain Briars said:  “The PSA is delighted to have the opportunity to align itself with another quality product in the squash market.  Following research and testing of the unique grips provided by Feather Sports, we are satisfied that their durability and quality standard are such that we are happy to endorse the product as "Official Grip of the PSA".

"On a wider note, and as our endorsement inventory expands, this demonstrates again that the expert advice and experience that comes from the most qualified people in the game, the professional players, is being further recognised by the squash industry," added Briars.

"The specific well of knowledge and the global travel schedule of our members means that they are collectively a rewarding target for promotional and endorsement opportunities of industry products.”

Moustafa H. Moustafa, President and founder of Feather Sports, added:  “Feather has been in the squash industry since 1998 and have sponsored over 60 tournaments, as well as elite players worldwide. The Feather PU grip has been the most popular Feather item in our line.

"Our grip has a very high absorbability and evaporation process, keeping the player’s hand dry throughout the longest matches.  The grip has been made with a special substance, keeping it very soft which will prevent injuries or blister formation.  The new Feather PU grip will deliver what the professional squash player expects.  We look forward to working with the PSA through our research and development team to maintain the quality of the grip and assure the highest standards will never be compromised."

The new Feather grip will be available in plastic drums that will contain 6 grips of very attractive and assorted colours.

Moustafa concluded:  "I am delighted to have signed this exclusive three-year agreement with the PSA which will provide our company and products with new and increased opportunities in the squash market.”
