Mosaad Wins Maiden Title In Iran

In a battle between two Egyptian teenagers in the final of the FAJR Squash International on Kish Island, it was the younger player Omar Mosaad who triumphed to claim the first ever PSA Tour title in Iran.

Mosaad, the 17-year-old second seed from Cairo, recovered from a game down to beat unseeded 19-year-old Ahmed Gamal Swaify 9-11, 11-10 (2-0), 11-2, 11-4 in 43 minutes.

Swaify, also from Cairo and in only his second appearance in a PSA event, had reached his first final after beating four seeds in the event – including Hong Kong's top seed Wai Hang Wong in the quarter-finals.

Mosaad, a two-times British Junior U17 Open champion who is coached by former Australian international Anthony Hill, is celebrating his first PSA Tour title.
