Kenny Captures Magic Sports International Title
Top-seeded Irishman Liam Kenny captured the Magic Sports International squash
title in Perth, Australia, with a four-game victory over surprise finalist
Tim Manning, a qualifier.
Manning, 25, from Brisbane in Queensland, made his breakthrough in the event
when he knocked out fellow Australian Cameron White, the second seed, in the
opening round. Three-times finalist White had beaten Manning in the 1999
final to lift the Magic title for the first and only time.
Perth-born Kenny, who first won the title in 2000, reached the final without
dropping a game. In the final, the Nottingham-based 25-year-old beat Manning
15-6 15-13 11-15 15-10 to claim his fifth PSA Tour title.
