Ashour Brothers In Athens Final

Egyptian brothers Hisham Mohd Ashour and Ramy Ashour will appear in a surprise final of the Cadillac Athens Open Squash Championship after winning their semi-final matches in the Greek capital in straight games.

Top seed Hisham, the older of the pair at 23 years old, removed fourth seed Ritwik Bhattacharya in 35 minutes – though the Indian led 9-8 in the second game before the favourite reclaimed the advantage after a tie-break and went on to win 11-8 11-10 11-7.

The other semi saw Ramy Ashour, the title-holder, upset England's No2 seed Ben Garner.  The 18-year-old world junior champion dominated the match, coming through to win 11-7 11-2 11-8 in just 28 minutes.

The Athens climax will be the first PSA Tour final between two brothers since Australians Rodney Martin and Brett Martin faced each other in the Hong Kong Open final in 1993.
