Selby & Johnstone Line Up Shock Goodlife Quarter-Final

Unseeded Englishman Daryl Selby and Australian qualifier Wade Johnstone will meet in a surprise quarter-final in the Par-Fyum Goodlife Squash Open after staging significant upsets on the opening day of action in the new PSA Tour event in Ottawa, Canada.

Selby, 22, from Essex, took 79 minutes to despatch local player Shawn Delierre, the fourth seed from Montreal, 11-5 11-9 8-11 11-7.

Johnstone, who knocked out Ottawa's Robin Clarke in the final qualifying round, wrapped up his upset over Nicholas Kyme in three games, beating the seventh seed from Bermuda 11-8 11-8 11-8.

Top seed Shahier Razik remains the sole Canadian survivor in the last eight.  The 27-year-old from Toronto defeated Australian qualifier Luke Margan 11-9 11-6 11-6 and now meets another Australian, fifth seed Simon Carruthers, for a place in the semi-finals.
