Islamabad World Squash Championships Survive Despite Earthquake Disaster

The World Squash Federation has confirmed today (Tuesday) that December's Men's World Team Championships in Islamabad will go on despite last week's earthquake disaster.

"The WSF is shocked at the devastation and loss of life in one of our key Squash nations," said Chief Executive Christian Leighton.  "We have been in contact with our colleagues at the Pakistan Squash Federation who have confirmed that the Federation, the Squash Players and the Squash community at large are all unharmed.

"We are delighted, therefore, that the World Team Championships will go ahead as planned."
