Razik Rallies To Win Baltimore Cup
Canada's Shahier Razik stemmed two fight backs by Australian favourite Dan Jenson in the final of the Baltimore Squash Cup to win the new PSA Tour title in Baltimore, USA, in a high quality encounter which went the full distance.
Jenson, a former world No5 from Adelaide in Australia, was celebrating his first appearance in a PSA final this year – but was two points away from losing in the fourth game as the second seed from Toronto cruised to a 9-4 lead.
The Australian, however, strung together seven straight points to take the match to a fifth game decider.
The 27-year-old Canadian, who is enjoying excellent form this year and in his fifth PSA final of the year, regained his composure to take the final game after three lets on match ball.
The 11-4 9-11 11-8 9-11 11-5 victory in 80 minutes takes Razik to his fourth title in 2005, and the tenth PSA trophy of his career.
