Seeds Slump In Brescia

Four of the top eight seeds in the Mega Italia Squash Open failed to make it through to the quarter-finals in Brescia.

England's unseeded Peter Billson pulled off the biggest upset when he knocked out third seed Tom Hoevenaars 8-11 11-6 11-4 5-11 11-6 to set up a meeting with another surprise quarter-finalist, Daryl Selby.  The English qualifier defeated sixth seeded Alexandre Muller 11-7 11-7 11-9.

Local fans were delighted when unseeded Italian Luca Mastrostefano removed India's eighth seed Gaurav Nandrajog 8-11 11-7 11-7 11-8 in 37 minutes.  Mastrostefano now meets Egypt's Mohamed Ismail, who beat fourth-seeded Greek Fabian Kalaitzis 11-6 11-4 11-0.
