Khan & El Amir In Global Diamond Final

America's 31-year-old Latasha Khan is one step away from winning her first WISPA World Tour title after beating Spain's Olga Puigdemont Sola in straight games in the semi-finals of the Women's Global Diamond Squash Open in Orange County, California, USA.

The top seed from Seattle will face Egypt's Eman El Amir after the second seed twice came from behind to overcome Australia's Heidi Mather in five games.

Khan, the five-times US National champion who has reached the final without conceding a game, swept to a 9-0 9-1 9-4 victory over the Spaniard to reach her first WISPA final since finishing as runner-up in the Japan Open more than three years ago.

El Amir, 22, from Cairo, was fully tested by third seed Mather, but eventually clawed her way to a 6-9 9-3 8-9 10-8 9-5 win to claim her second WISPA final appearance.

The Egyptian, winner of the Ontario Open in March, will be hoping to keep her 100% Tour final record in tact.
