Ball's 15-13 15-6 15-4 victory takes him into a last eight clash with Switzerland's eighth seed Lars Harms who defeated Irish wildcard entrant Arthur Gaskin 15-8 15-7 15-4. Canada's top seed Shahier Razik demonstrated his speed and shot-making against Egyptian qualifier Karim Yehia. Egypt-born Razik won the first two games with ease, but after losing the third, came back in style with a lightning performance in the fourth to win 15-10 15-10 13-15 15-5. In the longest game of the day, second-seeded Spaniard Borja Golan fought back from a game down to beat Mexican qualifier Eric Galvez 9-15 15-12 15-11 15-11 in 100 minutes. |
