A packed gallery cheered on the two Torontonians, Berg the 26-year-old favourite seeking his second title in his fifth PSA Tour final, and De Lierre, the 21-year-old second seed in his first appearance in a Tour climax. Berg seemed impatient and always in a rush to end the rallies, whereas De Lierre was highly composed and attacked and retrieved well as he strode to his notable 15-12 17-15 13-15 15-13 victory over the world No49.
