The success in her last year as a junior made up for the disappointment of losing in the 2003 final. In the men's final, Finland's No2 seed Matias Tuomi, a semi-finalist twelve months ago, upset Malaysia's top seed Kim Lee Wong 10-8 9-7 10-8. It was a reverse of the result of the Hungarian Junior Open last November and the Finnish teenager's first European Junior Grand Prix title.
