The 23-year-old top seed from Cairo only dropped one game on his way to his first Tour final.

Seventh seed Bader Al Hussaini made his breakthrough in the quarter-finals where he upset Pakistan's Wasim Shad, the No2 seed, in five games.

The 25-year-old underdog took a 2/1 lead in the final before Gamal battled back to win 11-9, 11-13, 5-11, 11-9, 11-8 after 69 minutes to claim the maiden Tour title of his career.
