Just over a week after contesting the final of the CNS International in the Pakistan city of Karachi, Farhan Mehboob and Aamir Atlas Khan – both nephews of the great Jansher Khan - will contest the climax of the Pakistan Open in their country’s capital Islamabad after contrasting victories in today’s (Thursday) semi-finals of the $30,000 PSA Tour squash event at the Mushaf Squash Complex.

Top seed Mehboob, winner of the Karachi title, brushed aside unseeded local player Safeer Ullah Khan 11-8, 11-3, 11-7 in just 20 minutes,

The other semi was a repeat of last year’s final – in which Aamir Atlas Khan, the second seed, battled for 53 minutes to overcome third-seeded fellow countryman Mansoor Zaman 12-10, 12-14, 11-9, 11-9.

Egyptian teenager Heba El Torky has claimed an unexpected place in the final of the $10,000 women’s WISPA World Tour event.  The 17-year-old third seed from Alexandria upset Hong Kong’s second seed Joey Chan 13-11, 6-11, 11-8, 11-4 – and will now face another Hong Kong opponent in the final after favourite Christina Mak beat unseeded Egyptian Sara El Noamany 12-10, 11-7, 11-3.
