Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan and Delia Arnold celebrated an unexpected Malaysian double in the two Tour squash events at the Bukit Jalil National Squash Centre in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan, second seed in the men's NSC 1 Star No1 championship, faced Wai Hang Wong in the final of the PSA Tour event after the 31-year-old from Hong Kong had beaten fellow qualifier Ivan Yuen in the semi-finals.

Yuen, a 17-year-old Malaysian fresh from his unexpected quarter-final berth in last month's World Junior Championship in Switzerland, began his NSC campaign with a stunning upset over top-seeded Australian Ryan Cuskelly in the first round.

But 22-year-old Adnan, who made his British Open debut as a qualifier in May, was too strong for his opponent in the final, beating Wai Hang Wong 8-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-4 in 48 minutes to earn the fourth Tour title of his career - all of which have been in his KL hometown.

The final of the Women's NSC Tour 12 No2 event saw Delia Arnold cause a notable upset:  Seeded six, the KL-born 22-year-old made her breakthrough in the quarter-finals where she beat second-seeded compatriot Sharon Wee 11-5, 11-7, 11-6 in her first victory over the world No21 in seven WISPA World Tour meetings.

But in the final, Arnold faced favourite Rebecca Chiu, the world No14 from Hong Kong.  But, after dropping the first game for just two points, the plucky world No36 from Selangor fought back to beat Chiu 2-11, 11-4, 11-8, 11-9 in 42 minutes - thereby earning the third Tour title of her career.
