Australian Steve Finitsis won his second PSA Tour squash title in a row on home soil when he took out the SmokeFree WA Merredin International in Merredin, Western Australia.
Finitsis beat fellow Queenslander Zac Alexander in the final of the PSA Satellite event - just as he did when he won his first professional tournament in Darwin two weeks ago.
Alexander, the 19-year-old second seed from Brisbane in his fourth successive Tour final, came out blazing and raced away with the first game before 25-year-old Finitsis steadied and won the next three to take the final 6-11, 11-6, 11-4, 11-1.
"He was going for all his shots and they were coming off," Finitsis said. “When someone plays like that you can’t do much about it, you just have to regroup and be patient.
“He couldn’t sustain it in the end and I finished much stronger.”
Finitsis will be aiming for three in a row at next weekend’s City of Perth International.
