Hungary's Mark Krajcsak will face Dutchman Tom Hoevenaars in the final of the Roma Est Open after dropping his first game of the tournament against Swede Badr Abdel Aziz in the semi-finals of the $10,000 PSA Tour squash event at the Shopping Centre Roma Est in Italy's capital city Rome.
The 24-year-old third seed from Budapest - the only seed to survive the first round - took 50 minutes to overcome unseeded Aziz 11-6, 11-8, 7-11, 11-9 to reach the fifth PSA Tour final of his career.
The other semi-final took 70 minutes, with Hoevenaars and English qualifier Joe Lee each hoping to celebrate a maiden Tour final appearance.
But despite British Junior champion Lee taking the second game for the loss of just four points, it was the 20-year-old unseeded Dutchman who ultimately prevailed, winning 11-9, 4-11, 11-7, 11-9.
