Ireland's Laura Mylotte missed out on a glorious chance to win her maiden WISPA World Tour squash title on home soil when she lost in four games to Dutch opponent Orla Noom in the final of the Bymac Leinster Open at the Fitzwilliam Club in Dublin.

A tense first game saw the two top seeds trading shots and tussling for position in the centre of the court.  At five points each, Mylotte took the initiative with some great driving and closed out the game.  Looking relaxed and in fine form, the 32-year-old from Galway raced to a six nil lead in the second game and seemed to have the beating of her top-seeded Dutch opponent.

A string of unforced errors, however, let Noom back into the game and although Mylotte had a game ball at 9-8, Noom clinched it 10-9 to tie the match at one-all.

Again in the third, Mylotte looked in control at 6-4 but could not seem to keep out the errors, losing the game 9-6.  The 21-year-old from Hoofddorp then sensed her chance of victory and played some great squash to close out the fourth and final game to win the match 6-9, 10-9, 9-6, 9-6 in exactly one hour.

The triumph marks Noom's second WISPA title - and will be a confidence-booster for the young Dutch star who will take on England's Georgina Stoker in today's (Sunday) 1st qualifying round of the Women's World Open Championships in Madrid, Spain.

The top two seeds also moved through to the final in the men's event after England's Bradley Ball and Egypt's Omar Abdel Aziz survived their semi-finals in straight games.

Ball, the 31-year-old top seed from Ipswich, despatched Hungary's No3 seed Mark Krajcsak 11-9, 11-10 (5-3), 11-6 to reach the 23rd PSA Tour final of his career.

Abdel Aziz, the 24-year-old No2 seed from Cairo, ended the courageous run of English qualifier Ben Ford, beating the 32-year-old from Kent 11-1, 11-6, 11-8.  Aziz is now celebrating his seventh Tour final appearance.
