Both nations cruised to 3/0 victories in the U17 semi-finals to meet in the final for the third successive year - favourites and defending champions England beating fifth seeds Switzerland and Germany triumphing over 3/4 seeds France. The U15 semi-finals were closer-fought affairs, with the second string men having to clinch the victories after both ties were level. Rudi Rohrmuller was the hero for top seeds Germany, beating David Haley 9-1 9-0 9-1 as the champions in 2001 and 2002 claimed a 2/1 win over fourth seeds Wales. The other semi-final pitched 2/3 seeds England and France together - with England's Chris Fuller earning a decisive 9-3 6-9 9-6 9-1 victory over Antoine Dauzac as England reached the final for the fourth year in a row. |
