Galifi & Jones Are Surprise Atlanta Finalists

Welshman Gavin Jones, the fifth seed, engineered his second successive upset in the Grant Thornton Atlanta Open Squash Championship to reach the final of the PSA Tour event in Atlanta, USA - where he will face fourth-seeded Frenchman Stephane Galifi.

After despatching second-seeded Spaniard Borja Golan in a five-game quarter-final encounter, Jones took just three games to overcome England's third seed Alister Walker 11-8 11-9 11-9.  The world No42 from Maesteg is celebrating his second PSA final appearance in less than a month - and looking for his first Tour title.

In the other semi-final, Galifi brushed aside Canada's sixth seed Matthew Giuffre 11-3 11-4 11-3.  The 26-year-old world No46 from Rouen, winner of two PSA titles in Australia last August, is appearing in his sixth Tour final.
