Jeppesen & Holt Win Austrian Junior Titles

Denmark's Kristian Gross Jeppesen and England's Leonie Holt claimed the titles in the 2005 Austrian Junior Open Squash Championships in Vienna.

Jeppesen, the top seed, was taken to four games in both the men's quarter-finals and semi-finals.  But in the final, the Dane brushed aside second seed Ondrej Ertl, of the Czech Republic, 9-6 9-0 9-2.

Fresh from her victory in last month's Welsh Junior Open, Leonie Holt swept through to the women's U19 final in Vienna without dropping a game.  But the second seed from Warwickshire faced an unexpected opponent in the final after Tereza Dufkova, a 3/4 seed from the Czech Republic, defeated event favourite Lotte Eriksen, from Norway, 9-4 9-3 9-1 in the semi-finals.

Holt, however, was too strong for the Czech - and romped to a 9-3 9-5 9-0 victory.
