Top seed Garner, 24, from Lingfield in Surrey, needed four games to overcome compatriot Lee Drew in the semi-finals - while Giuffre, the fourth seed from Edmonton, pulled off a notable upset when he defeated second-seeded Englishman Alex Stait. Despite suffering from the effects of flu, Garner despatched Giuffre 11-3 11-9 11-8 in the final. "This was the first time the Evergreen Squash Club, located in North Vancouver, has hosted a PSA event and the entire experience was an outstanding success," said Tournament Committee spokesman Paul Marley. |
