Top seed Botwright, the 22-year-old younger sister of world No9 Vicky Botwright from Manchester, swept through to the final without dropping a game. By contrast, opponent Alana Miller, the No2 seed from Winnipeg, was made to fight back from 0-2 down in the semi-finals against Kasey Brown before beating the third-seeded Australian in five games. Botwright junior, who became the European Champion last September, maintained the upper hand throughout the final to win 9-5 9-4 9-2. |
